Almost all the pdf files are not encrypted with password but in some cases, pdf files are to be encrypted with password or disabled printing option so that the users can’t able to print it out. Although, there might be a million of ways to edit and dissemble the pdf files but this process will help you to some extent to protect your files.
Things to be remembered before you go for making pdf:-
1. A MS-Word file is required.
2. Any version of Nitro PDF Creator must be installed in your system.
The following steps will help you to protect pdf files:-
1. Open a MS-Word file that you want to convert into PDF.
2. Go to Print Option or press Ctrl + P.
3. Select Printer’s Name to Nitro PDF Creator.
4. Click Printer Properties.
5. Click Pages under the Properties window. Set Page to A4.
6. Click PDF Security.
7. Tick option that you want to set password; a) Require a password to open the document and b) Require a password to change security settings and access specific functions.
8. Under second PDF security option, just tick the option and do not make other changes that will disable printing, changes, copying text, images, and other content, and also disable text for screen reader devices.
9. Click OK.
10. Click Print or give printing command and save it in your system.
